  • A farewell to summer- with styling tips and tricks, summer-to-fall garden flowers, and treasures (and friends shown here) sourced from the great @goodwillwny 💙
I’m honored to once again represent @goodwillwny as one of this season’s ambassadors!

90% of what you see here was sourced second hand. The large art piece is a family heirloom, and the beautiful crystal lamps were gifted from my friend, Amy @simplifybuffalo. The plant stand, vintage bell and frame are from @goodwillwny

Here’s the “before” of the same space!

Not in the market for new patio furniture? Throw some pretty table linens over a card table (here I have two pushed together), use mismatched vintage chairs, pretty placemats, florals, taper candles, and vintage china. Blue & white plates sourced from @goodwillwny

Here’s the same Garden Party-themed table in action!

My fellow @goodwillwny ambassadors and I threw a bridal shower for one of our own, @karla_annn! The only thing better than a beautifully curated setting and good food is great company.

These potted florals are fake and fabulous - and have been going strong for 2 (some 3) years now.
It’s okay to mix in faux - much less work and still so pretty. The old ladies of my childhood who did this on their porches were onto something. Two of these six pots sourced from @goodwillwny 💙

This summer I designed & installed two gallery walls. This one is dedicated to our boys’ artwork. Frames are a mix of vintage & new, sourced from @goodwillwny & Amazon.

Gallery wall #2: a tribute to my dog, Hugo, who passed in January. The beautiful monogrammed art in the middle was designed and gifted to me by my friend and artist, @caitlinkrumm. All of the frames are new except the one displaying her work, which was sourced from an estate sale.

This was my second year planting zinnias and boy did they grow. They are actually super easy to plant and grow from seed - and the more you cut them, the more they bloom!

These lovely blooms will last all spring and summer until the first frost off fall. The more you cut, the more blooms you get! And - did you know you can hand-pick your zinnia color palette? It’s easier than you think - I did it here!

  • Each thrifted treasure has an untold story - and you have the ability to write its next chapter 📖

In Part 38 of my series, What’s Lost is Found, I formally introduce you to an incredibly talented artist - who also happens to be one of my good friends - Alexis Luttrell-Brown of @buffalobrushstrokesart 👩🏻‍🎨

Alexis and I met through the @goodwillwny ambassador program and became fast friends. I’m honored to display her vibrant artwork in my home.🎨

Today just so happens to be National Thrift Shop Day! If you’ve never shopped a local thrift store, the frame and art section is a great place start. Several of my photos and favorite art around my home are framed with vintage frames sourced from thrift stores, antique shops, and estate sales.🖼️
  • POV: Your historic front porch becomes the setting for a dreamy bridal shower 👰🏻‍♀️🥹💍

Gosh we had fun! What a pleasure to host my fellow @goodwillwny ambassador friends as we honored our dearest @karla_annn this past Saturday.

📷More photos from in and outside of my home - transformed into bridal showertini venue - to come!

🥂Congratulations to newlyweds Karla and @benjaminb1ack - we love you!

🙏Thanks to @thriftedbyhiba and the ladies for capturing these beautiful video clips while I was playing hostess.
  • In case you’re wondering whether or not hanging photos and mementos of your pet after they’re gone will only serve to make you more sad - I can tell you that it has put a smile on all of our faces. I’ll be sharing more about our memorial wall this week.

Special thanks to my friend @caitlinkrumm for the beautiful canvas art she designed and surprised me with when Hugo passed away (centered on the wall in a vintage gold frame) - and - to my friend, Melissa, who surprised me with the beautiful heart-shaped tribute stone I placed in our zinnia garden.

If you live locally, the folks at @petheavenfuneralhome will handle the passing of your pet with great care and grace. We highly recommend them.
  • Fig, Prosciutto & Goat Cheese Bites, yum!
🍽️Here’s a crowd-pleasing dish that’s simple enough to not overwhelm moms with ADHD (like me ☺️).
🤎I served this first to my mom, then brought it to a work event and my family picnic (where I am in this video) and I got ton of requests for the recipe.
I’m even making it ahead tonight to bring it to a graduation party tomorrow. It’s really that good!

Here’s the recipe:
Ingredients:
1. Stonefire naan dippers
2. Fig spread
3. Goat cheese crumbles
4. Prosciutto
5. Honey and/or balsamic glaze (optional but good)

Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
2. Layer fig spread onto naan dippers
3. Sprinkle crumbly goat cheese over top
4. Top with little pieces of prosciutto
5. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is soft and prosciutto reaches desired crispness.
6. Drizzle with honey and/or balsamic glaze for added flavor

That’s it - enjoy! Save for later and let me know if you make it!

  • Sound familiar? 😂🫠
I was helping my son organize and clean his room today and told him to make his bed. I was sitting at the foot of the bed folding his clothes when he pulled up the comforter and I saw “I love mom” written in (he says) washable marker. I wanted to be mad but at the same time - how can I be mad? I asked him why he wrote it and he simply said, “Because I love you.”

Each thrifted treasure has an untold story - and you have the ability to write its next chapter 📖

In case you’re wondering whether or not hanging photos and mementos of your pet after they’re gone will only serve to make you more sad - I can tell you that it has put a smile on all of our faces.

Fig, Prosciutto & Goat Cheese Bites, yum! Here’s the recipe: Ingredients: 1. Stonefire naan dippers 2. Fig spread 3. Goat cheese crumbles 4. Prosciutto 5. Honey and/or balsamic glaze (optional but good) Instructions: 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees 2. Layer fig spread onto naan dippers 3. Sprinkle crumbly goat cheese over top 4. Top with little pieces of prosciutto 5. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is soft and prosciutto reaches desired crispness. 6. Drizzle with honey and/or balsamic glaze for added flavor That’s it - enjoy! Save for later and let me know if you make it!

Sound familiar?

These lovely blooms will last all spring and summer until the first frost off fall. The more you cut, the more blooms you get! And - did you know you can hand-pick your zinnia color palette? It’s easier than you think - I did it here!

A farewell to summer- with styling tips and tricks, summer-to-fall garden flowers, and treasures (and friends shown here) sourced from the great @goodwillwny 💙

Each thrifted treasure has an untold story - and you have the ability to write its next chapter 📖

In case you’re wondering whether or not hanging photos and mementos of your pet after they’re gone will only serve to make you more sad - I can tell you that it has put a smile on all of our faces.

Fig, Prosciutto & Goat Cheese Bites, yum!
